Good evening Seven Pines Families,

As you know Henrico County Public Schools recently determined students/families may choose to continue virtual learning or return to elementary school buildings  for in-person learning beginning November 30th (PK-2) and December 7th (3-5). I know this is a difficult decision for families. Therefore, it is my wish to provide you with as much information as possible at this point in the process in order for families to make such an important decision. Tomorrow parents/guardians will be provided a survey from HCPS that asks you to determine if your children will return to in-person learning or continue with virtual learning. This decision will be binding for the remainder of the school year. In order to make the best decision for your family, please read over our school’s Return to School Safety Plan which is located in the email portion of this message. This plan contains detailed information to assist families in making decisions. Please note that there may be tweaks in the near future as more information and data become available in order to ensure the health and safety of our students, staff, families and school community. I encourage all families to make their decision based upon what is best for your family and student. The results of the parent survey will determine how instruction will be delivered to students at each grade level. It is important to note that regardless of your decision, changes in teacher placement may be necessary to accommodate parent choices.

Thank you for your continued support and partnership. While the pandemic presents us with continued challenges, we are confident our Seven Pines faculty, staff and community will successfully tackle them together.
