October is National Bullying Prevention Month. During this month, students will learn about bullying on the morning announcements as well as participate in guidance lessons on conflict resolution, understanding others, and treating people with kindness. Third graders were exploring 5 digit numbers. What does 10,000 look like? The 3 classes found out first hand! Each class created bags of 100 items and then came together and counted by 100s. They ended up at 10,800!! A student brought up that not all the bags of 100 looked the same but had the same value. 100 beans next to 100 unification cubes looked very different. Then we found a picture to bring it to life. $10,000 in $1 vs $10,000 in $100! Wow!
